April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, started taking lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. The passion for writing songs was ignited. The first song she wrote was called Different which she composed at the age of 12. At the age of 14 April was a big devotee of her day writing and practicing songs. After a while, she began to travel with her dad and to write songs at home in NY as well as LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in the book, Take My Hand, for her friends who were dealing with peer pressure, disabilities or suicide. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing fan base as a lifestyle blogger as well as a spokesperson for the popular brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. Lockhart was never born having a left-handed hand, which is why she's the person she is. It's just not the full story. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't ignore the fact that she is disabled however, it doesn't concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. The message is? This is the message: We all have many identities, we're way more diverse than we think we're. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her physical disability. She does not want to be a disability advocate who only talks about that. There are many aspects to Lockhart. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about every day as normal and have found my own way to adjust things. However, it's a component of me and I feel it's important to talk about. Lockhart, a real motivation for self-acceptance generally, is on a long journey to achieve it. However, she acknowledges going through periods of being uncomfortable with her body, at times, not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing which showed the arms of her. She is able to wear anything she'd like, and is proud to share photos of herself in these outfits. The self-love she talks about is a journey. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the final stage. However, I believe that's the case common to everyone regardless of what they are struggling with. It's important to be around those who are able to see the person you are.
